How do I Search the Concordance?

Searching the Concordance in the Strong's Concordance app is done in a similar fashion to the physical/paper version. Except without the book!

Follow the steps below to perform a search:

1) Select the Concordance tab at the bottom of the screen:

2) Familiarise yourself with the search view

Please note that you can only search for one word at a time in the Concordance search. This is because the purpose of this search is to track the Hebrew/Greek word numbers that the search finds, which would be impossible to do with more than one word. If you need to search the Bible for multiple words, please use the Search tab instead.

3) Enter a single Bible word to search for (in the box with the orange arrow in the screenshot above). You can optionally select where in the Bible you'd like to search (All, Old or New testaments, or a custom selection of books) by selecting from the purple arrows above. You may then execute the search using the Search button (see the red arrow above).

4) Each row is a word that has been found that matches the original search criteria. This page is designed to be similar to an actual Strong's Concordance (paper book) listing. You may note the presence of the following details (see screenshot below):

• A Search results summary which provides a count of how many words were found with the criteria provided (see orange arrow)
• Each row contains one word that has been found, and contains:
  • The Verse reference (see brown arrow)
  • The strongs number for the word found (see purple arrow)
  • A summary of the verse, with the word highlighted (see red arrow).

5) You can select on any row in order to be directed to the Strong's Dictionary for that Greek/Hebrew word, as depicted by the strongs number (see purple arrow in screenshot above).
